What it is and why it matters
SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) are the core of any implementation: everything that happens in purchasing, sales, production and the warehouse ends up as an accounting entry. When they are poorly configured, the finance team compensates with spreadsheets and the close drags on. Our team comes from finance and makes every configuration decision with the close, taxes and management reporting in mind.
What we configure
- General ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and banks
- Month-end and year-end close with calendar and owners
- Cost centers, profit centers and internal orders
- Product costing and profitability analysis (CO-PA)
- Fixed assets (AA): tax and book depreciation areas, depreciation and balance migration
- Treasury (TRM): liquidity position, financial instruments and hedging
- Mexico localization: CFDI, electronic accounting and DIOT
What we see most in SAP FI/CO
The close takes more than a week
We review clearing, valuations, allocations and reconciliations to automate what is done by hand today.
Subledgers don't reconcile with the general ledger
We find misassigned reconciliation accounts, wrong account determination and uncleared open items.
Product cost isn't reliable
We adjust costing structures, activity rates and order settlement so the margin is real.
Where we work inside SAP
FI/CO receives data from MM (goods receipts and invoices), SD (billing), PP (production orders) and TRM (treasury). In S/4HANA everything is recorded in the Universal Journal (table ACDOCA), which removes reconciliations between accounting and controlling when the configuration is right.

SAP FI/CO FAQ
Do you work on S/4HANA and ECC?
Yes. We configure FI/CO in SAP S/4HANA, support SAP ECC and guide conversions from ECC to S/4HANA, including the move to the Universal Journal and the new fixed asset model.
Can you migrate fixed assets with accumulated depreciation?
Yes. We migrate assets with their acquisition values and accumulated depreciation by depreciation area, and reconcile against the source system before go-live.
Do you include Mexican tax localization?
Yes. We integrate CFDI 4.0, payment complements, electronic accounting and DIOT as part of the FI design.
